Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most, answered the way the Terms already answer them.
For clients
How does booking a session work?
Browse practitioner profiles. Each one shows their approach, credentials, and prices, with any platform fee already included. When you find someone whose work fits what you're looking for, you book and pay directly on their profile. The agreement to provide the session is between you and the practitioner; Oumré handles the payment and holds both sides to the standards in the Terms of Service.
Is what I share with my practitioner private?
Yes. Live sessions are never recorded on Oumré's infrastructure: recording is switched off at the infrastructure level, not just discouraged by policy, so both of you can rely on it. Intake responses, session history and personal reflections belong to you; Oumré doesn't sell them, share them, or use them to train models.
Do I need to verify my age?
Yes. Oumré is for adults, and everyone confirms they are 18 or over when they create an account. Age-restricted material sits behind a verification check that runs before you can reach it. How thorough that check is depends on where you are: some places require a government-issued document, and elsewhere a quicker check applies.
What happens if I need to cancel, or change my mind after booking?
Each practitioner sets their own cancellation window, and it's shown to you before you confirm a booking. If a practitioner cancels or doesn't attend, you're refunded in full: write to support@oumre.com and it will be arranged. If you're a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you also have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract; booking a session inside that window counts as asking us to begin early, which is confirmed at checkout. Full detail is in Terms sections 5 and 6.
Are live sessions recorded?
No. Recording is disabled at the infrastructure level, so Oumré holds no recording of any session. Neither you nor your practitioner may record a session by other means without the other's express agreement.
How are practitioners reviewed before they're listed?
A curator personally reads every application (training, credentials, and the substance of the practice) before a listing goes live. Qualifications are submitted as documents and reviewed on their own merits; where a tradition trains without issuing certificates, the review looks at the practice itself, lineage and named teacher instead. A profile shows openly which kind of review applies. See Community Standards for the full standard.
For practitioners
How do I apply to become a practitioner on Oumré?
Start from Apply to join. You'll submit your training and credentials as documents, plus a government-issued ID for age verification. A curator reads every application personally rather than running it through an automatic filter; where your discipline trains without formal certificates, the review looks at your practice, lineage and named teacher instead.
What does Oumré charge, and when do I get paid?
There's no monthly fee, no listing cost and no setup charge. Oumré takes a percentage of each completed live session and of each subscription or content purchase. The current rates for your account, including any founding-cohort rate, are shown in your dashboard and form part of your agreement with us. Payouts go out automatically on the schedule set on your connected account, net of the platform fee, refunds and chargebacks. See Fees & payments for the current headline numbers.
What if I need to close my account or stop practising on Oumré?
You can ask to close your account at any time. For a practitioner, that request goes to a person rather than closing automatically, since your clients, your payouts and anything you've published have to be dealt with first. Your account stays active in the meantime and we come back to you within 30 days. See Terms section 17.
